This tune really sadens me.. the game shouldnt cater itself to players who are
huge and need outlets for their experience, the game shouldnt be "playable"
for those who have in my mind beaten this game, such as a few highbies I care
not to mention. I deseve to train things to 100. I belive i hold the right
that i should be able to train/study things to 100 if i pay (what in my mind)
i thought was decent. now, i need skill chunks to be able to train some of the
higher skill% cause walking around with 3m for a 96% train isnt gonna happen
people. oh, and dont bother growing into your reinc either- you lose exp
through level chunks (cause anyone in their right mind would actually attempt
to level with one train.. NOT. Good idea. wont happen)
not to mention. I deseve to train things to 100. I belive i hold the right
that i should be able to train/study things to 100
One of the reasons behind the tune I absolutely agree with is that an average player absolutely should NOT be able to easily train anything to 100. The game is quite playable with skills/spells at some point between 60 and 80 (except things that require high percentages to be fully usable, but Zin said those would be looked at individually) The part of the tune I don\'t like is the quite dramatic increase in costs to achieve even average percentages (50-70 or so) Before the tune, it was possible to get access to the major abilities of a guild (skills/spells to around 60-70%, which works most of the time, but isn\'t all that good by any measure), then slowly build your character to the point where your skills/spells would start to actually get good. Now (assuming similar totals), there are two choices: either inflate and get just the main abilities to average levels, and fill in the non-essential stuff later, as a means of stashing away exp when your real skills cost too much, or get the lower level skills to working percentages and run around newbie areas/smurfs/duz trying to get your better spells to the point where they don\'t fail 2/3rds of the time. Maybe that was the intent of the tune, but the way I see it, it just forces more people to stay in duz/eow/smurfs for ever increasing periods of time, because they just aren\'t powerful enough to handle anything bigger.
