Let the newbie helpers ban players from newbie channel for 24 hour periods. If
it's abused, they can lose there helper status. Not likely to be abused and
sorely needed.

Let me clarify, the need for ban from newbie channels is for non newbies who
will ask questions and spend time arguing with newbie helpers when told to go
to another channel.

I see. However that task is for wizards to control I guess. In any case that's
just my IMO, ask an arch to give a definite answer if you desire it
passionately.
