Races skillmax/spellmax tuned up
I don't see how this relates to the other points of your post. Some races
have high skill/spellmax and those races tend to have less stats. This gives
players the choice whether to take a stat race or a skillmax/spellmax race.
For highbies this choice is obvious as they can compensate the stats with
eq (or ss's/boons etc) but for a newbie, the choice isn't always so
obvious (a newbie cyclops despite its weak skillmax still rocks more as a
tank than a newbie human). Pushing the skill/spellmax of races upwards
would mean that we lose one thing that makes the different races different
from each other.

On the other hand, it is possible that skill/spellmax could be bought to a
higher level from ss's in the future. No promises tho.

All boons available as abilities
What would a highbie do with taskpoints if he can get the same benefits as
abilities? The boons are an issue of constant debate - on one hand they
should be good enough to encourage people to report bugs or support the
development of the game. On the other hand, they should not be so good that
the game becomes unplayable without them. Adding new abilities could be a
good idea (ideas anyone?) but making all boons available as abilities would
not really solve a problem IMO. Abilities are expensive expwise, so starting
players can't buy them. Hence, in order for you to get enough exp to buy
such abilities (say +dex) you would already have to be a good player, and not
really in need of the boost (unless you chose some really bizarre race combo
for your reinc).

Atm at high speed is only Exp making.
This is probably partly due to the increase in time it takes to kill certain
highlevel eq mobs, which in turn was a response to the fact that they were
previously being killed all too often by the same parties over and over again.

IMO, there should be some eq mobs (less powerful) that are killable with
fairly
short eq-runs (some hours and upwards). Then there are the truly powerful mobs
(burgle, asmo and others) that should not even be killable all the time, and
would take a big amount of work and planning to get down.

Why? Because WHEN someone kills one of those big bad monsters, it gives them
something to be proud about, and they know that some Unnamed Highbie Eqmob
won't do the same monster the next boot and screw up the worth of the items.

You say you are getting bored and can't find anything challenges or anything
to do except exp? Perhaps you should try what rebirth was originally really
about - to start over. From scratch. You've reached the end of the game, you
have a shitload of exp. The solution to making the game challenging, while
simultaneously not ruining it for lower level players, is not to remove all
eq from the game. The solution is to retire your highbie char, to be proud
that you made it this far, and start over with a new one. To go out and kill
those tough Digga bunnies, to grind your teeth to get the exp for that next %
of dodge. And to prove to yourself and others that you are still good enough
to make it from scratch in a game that has changed quite a lot in the years
since you started playing it.
