I'm not sure if this has been suggested multiple times already, or maybe is
under work, but:
Nuns have their purity, Psis have KoMD, Bards have Bardic Might.. how about
adding something similar to at least some of the tank guilds? Perhaps start
with the martial art guilds by adding knowledge of inner balance or somesuch,
which would give a small boost to MA by eliminating the weakest strikes from
the wildly random hit table. Small boosts to defence sense, discipline and
stunned maneuvers also.
