Invisibility turns you invisible by bending the light rays around yourself.
You create some sort of shell around your body that the light somehow flows
around. Then the infrared rays you emit also stay inside the shell... Sounds
logical, yes?
That of course means that you will not be seen with any sort of vision, but on
the other hand you should not see anything either... So you must exclude your
eyes from the shell. This explains why higher-level monsters are able to spot
you anyway. Like those floating eyes in Quake.
