okay, here is my take on this latest tune...

As a casual player i seem to really benefit from this tune... since i don't
play all that much, almost anything I kill is in good tune for me, obviously
i'm happy with it on a personal level, i'm making a better rate than normal
and i'm even getting good exp for what i have always considered money only
monsters... even for those who play more than i do, i think you can all find
places where there are different monsters to killwith different files...
however, as many have already mentioned, this tune makes areas with monsters
with the same file completely worthless to visit as you are in bad tune almost
immediately... i haven't heard many good suggestions for this as of yet, but i
have one that i think might work, depending on whether or not it's
reasonable...

my idea is this: create a new monster attribute... "population" and use the
square root of this value (rounded down) to regulate the personal exp tune...

i'll use drawbridge to demonstrate my idea... a monster like the cavalier has
only 1 copy of itself in the game... sqrt(1)=1... the tune would be applied at
1/1 or 100% rate to cavalier... sentry has 3 versions, and sqrt(3) = 1.732...
rounded down is 1 so it would also be applied at 100% rate to sentries... the
guards however, have probably 6 or 8... copies that can spawn... sqrt(6) =
2.45... rounded down is 2... so tune would affect guards at 1/2 or 50% normal
rate... thus you would have to kill 2 to get the tuning effect that killing a
single sentry or cavalier would have...

i think this type of a solution would make players happy, as their favorite
areas wouldn't be tuned QUITE so badly, but also, it would still have the
desired effect of the tune, since it is based on the square root of the
population, not the actual population... flame away :)
