Irony in its verbal form is saying one thing and meaning the exact opposite.
Thus, sarcasm is a subset of irony. Sarcasm is meant to be comical and
biting, whereas general irony need be neither.
Now, for my tale...So, I was log-jammin' this bitch, right? And, I decide to
go around back for some smiles, but I'm thinkin', "Hey!, where's the
lubrication? WHERE is the lubrication?" This amazing conundrum left me in a
state of panic over global-warming and its potential drying effects of the
planet and of the rising crises in the Middle East. Breaking into a cold
sweat from the panic, I took two Prozac and a Viagra (just for good measure).
Feeling relieved, I once again became interested in my sexual encounter. I
was glad to not have to worry about anything as I pursued my lusty desires
with an underage, heroin-addicted, HIV positive Russian immigrant without a
green card. God Bless America!
