I\'m sure it\'s been brought up in the past, but how about making the banks a
bit more realistic and have some sort of interest? 1% compound
interest/month...something like that. There\'s no advantage to keep money in
banks anymore - it\'s not preferred to pay in gold (only highcoins), bank
robberies, and extra fees for withdrawl. I just think it\'d balance things
out, even if it was in a small way.
Nah, it'd just give the wizards more incentive to screw with mortals by
running robbery

More people will want easy interest cash, so it'd be the
more fun!
This is a fascinating idea! Why not introduce that rent in banks? We could
also introduce a new tell-network. After all, tells are really SMS:es. They
would cost just 0,20 gold on the navigator network. Somewhat more (0,209) on
the standardized and reliable mage-network.
Also, coming soon: All channels will have a broadcast cost depending on how
apart the listeners are. The guild GM:s will pay for the broadcast, and each
subscriber to the channel will have to pay a yearly (bat time) subscriber fee.
Also, having horses or other mounts inside the city will cost you money. There
will be road tolls (moving offroad will be restricted to unpopulated areas
only) and bridge-fees. Also, parking will be expensive in BC.
Everybody will start paying a minimum of 10% tax to the Bat government. For
higbies with high income this can be as high as 70%. Selling stuff that has
been in your possession for over 10 years will not be taxed.
Stocks for the various shops will be available in the stock market, and the
bank will take care of them for you for a small fee (110% of the income from
them). Also, the shops are likely to go bankrupt a while after you invest in
them (as they don't sell much).
