Hello,

i would like to know if there is UltraEdit (PSPad / ConText / you-name-it)
like editor that can do editing. Note that i would like to develop in this so
project files are a bonus. Syntax hihlight is a bonus. Replace is a must.

Key thing is that i want it to be able to open from and save to remove server
using ssh protocol. Don't bother mentioning UltraEdit or Emacs. I want
alternative. Free one :p

Is there hope? Drop tells or mudmail.

blah the blah...

Key thing is that i want it to be able to open from and save to remote server
using ssh (sftp) protocol.

but who cares, there is only one operating system: Xemacs!

yeah Xemacs is multi platform, you can find win32 binaries for it as well as
shitload of others. So basicly this request was "I want an unix only text
editor with sftp support that isn't any of the ones that other people have
found very good"

I can suggest 'cat' or 'ed'. The sign of true professional :)

I suggest a bash macro to (scp the remote file to local && edit it with nano
&& scp it back to remote host) transparently.
