1) The focus in this game is to make your character more powerful, be it exp,
eq, boons, general knowledge

2)Monsters tend to get tuned as the general strength of characters grows and
the thus the monster have to be made harder so there still is a challenge.

3) When people kill eqmobs, they gain lots of power, a fully equipped
character vs a naked character is not even close powerwise, and for some
roles, eq is everything as long as you have the minimum(~10megs) exp.

4) If others gain power, and i do not, this means that i effectively lose
power, since eventually this will end up in monsters that are too hard for me
to kill.

5) Therefore, if i make an effort to slow down other people, this will slow
down my power decrease, or maybe even turn it into an increase ( who knows).

This all leads to the questino i just have to post to the arches:

May i go and destroy equipment off eqmobs ( even if there is a party actively
trying to kill it) to slow down their growth so that they wont make my char
diminish? If not, will you post certain playnice rules about it or will you
leave it to the whim of the arches?
Sounds perfectly logical to me, as long as the members of the party you're
messin' with are all more powerful than you are.

... and if you're a good business man you could offer to sell them the same eq
that you just dest'ed (which you have in chests)

then the eq should be claimable or have the names of the party members in it..
though i think it would have the names of that party since there arent that
many people doing good eq.
i think it would be a good way to make money.

This place is reserved for something more intelligent.

I did forgot to point out the obvious most likely conclusion to the
hypothetical Glaurung put forth: Whatever skill/spell/item/ability that was
being used to dest the said eq would itself be tuned if your actions actually
had any real impact.
