Shinarae hit the spot, there are lots of decent and good(even better than
highbie stuff, or only items for those slots) lowbie/midbie eqs. Ofcourse this
would require exploring, and if this is made easier, what's the use of
actually exploring the harder areas, afterall the range of given stats of eq
is quite narrow. But those who explore, seems to get more out of game, like
quests, quests are voluntary and sometimes rewards of the quests are quite
nice. Should these be made easier too? No, if the game is too easy, no-one
wants to play it.
Making eq isn't easy, not for all atleast. Party needs a leader and they need
to work together to achieve the goal(dead monster). This ofcourse takes little
practice and lots of bloodshed and sweat. There are many people playing that
aren't willing to make eq, since it takes too long and painful. Same rule
applies to lowbies and midbies. Tho true lowbies also lack the time so one
would learn the areas and the game. Since once you have learned some areas,
you propably have enough exp to be midbie. During the process, one has get to
know some other players, maybe even got some online friends and they might do
things together. For an example i might put, that there are fairly easily
achievable lowbie weapons, lowbie dam eq, lowbie spreq, lowbie inteq and
couple wis items. Prots work fine and lowbie party can kill couple monsters
that have lowbie pr eq. All this needs exploring, is this bad that one should
know a little about areas? Why don't we just put websites up with walkthroughs
then, if it's just a huge problem. Couple years back coders didn't want to see
their area walkthroughs in public usage. They wanted that people would
explore. Only this needs bit more effort than farming money mobs.
What about highbies raping items? Yes some highbies rape items, some sell
those at sales channel and some sell those to the shops. Money "monsters" are
mostly raped here in bat and the lowest money monsters are utterly raped by
everyone who sees those alive. I agree, that som newbie mobs shouldn't be
raped by highbies, but still restricting it artificially somehow isn't good
option. What happens after lowbie grows out, the information he got suddenly
comes useless, well he might sell it to someone so they wouldn't need to
explore it. So the goods of trade would just convert to knowledge(which is now
already). Rapeprots? Do we need more rapeprots on random item monters and
therefore create more rape?
One thing i agree, this game needs lowbie areas that doesn't include 100
cloned file mobs and one 50k mob with 10k shopvalue cashitem, otherwise quite
useless to everyone, since the range between newbie-midbie-highbie eq is
narrow. But new areas has been added in the game past last year, for these i
cannot say a thing, haven't explored since i lack the enthusiastic attitude to
explore currently. But knowing who the coders are, i doubt they made highbies
areas, since they weren't topmost nolifer sadistics in the game while they
played.
