My personal opinions:
About crimsons. Many posts, flames, whines, etc about nomads lacking
flavour, lacking power, etc. Still, I don't really remember seeing a
single viable, good idea to make them more interesting. Yesyes, tons
of add-hps-and-pr-and-hps-and-resists-and-defence-and-pr-and-hps. How
does that make crimsons (nomads) any more fun? Or actually productive
members in eqparty instead of just idling meatwalls. I agree, there's
stuff needed, I'm just not sure about what. If somebody has _good_
ideas, tell/mail me, I promise to at least read them.
And some ramblings:
About remort possibility of wizzing. I don't believe this to be a good
idea. Some people would just wiz, stat items and read some code, then
mort and abuse the knowledge. If you limit the code access too much,
it gets painful to get anything done, thus leading to earlier remort
without much actual productivity. For descs, maybe some mort might
work for tps, maybe not. Otherwise I at least would leave the system
as it is. There's news groups (ideas-wanted) and idea command for
morts after all.
I agree there's a lot to do in mud, maybe it's somewhat a problem, but
it also tells alot about the quality of the game. But, at a time or
another, for those ever willing to wiz, propably will too. Maybe a bit
later than earlier, but anyways. Me personally, I delayed my wizzing
some to get the heads of Burglefloogah and Asmodeus, which I did.
Unfortunately it delayed my wizzing so far that rl caught me, at least
for now. But I will get more active when I have more time, just watch!
It's fun being in the <> side, even with my limited time available
