Acidia claims that he wants the permanent damage removed because it harms
newbies...I beg to differ. It takes quite some time to take an eq from maxawe
to maxbattered or whatever...a player should have ample time to buy an item at
maxawe and become no longer a newbie enough to afford better by the time it
wears out. No, the eq damage tune mainly only hurts the highbies with very
expensive and/or ungettable items that don't have their names on them and are
more or less un-replaceable.

My view is that the eq damage tunes are a very good overall system...encourage
people to make their own eq, and players with lower power eq items can even
get a name bonus which IMHO is a quite big upgrade from what things were
before.

make only eq on players above lvl 50 to take permanent damage!

This place is reserved for something more intelligent.
