I was saying there should be a default "best guess" for all players and that
players should be able to manipulate plants based on that, not strict physical
descriptions. I've argued for universal plant lore in the past, but I don't
think I suggested that now. Aside from all that, many of your points are at
best iffy, and some are flat out wrong because of stuff YOU coded. Saying the
skill is useless is incorrect. Being able to handle plants is useful even to
players who can't eat, partly because of stuff in some places you made. Also,
if true, herb jars were tuned...why? Conversely, plants which actually have a
strong effect are rare, hard to pick, much less identify, and usually have
drawbacks. There IS a place to buy and sell herbs in a guild I think you're
responsible for, but you can't use it without plant lore, which I think
contradicts your talk of buying from markets. Racial inclination? This game
treats races in absurdly varying ways. Traditionally races are nothing more
than a set of stats. Maybe it's good to move away from that, but we've still
got plenty of places where the monsters always say "Die Human." Maybe we
should move away from that, but I see equally little interest in making old
stuff more race sensitive. Finally, talking about how knowing what blueberries
are leading to total guild homogenization is overstating your case to the
point of insulting me. If you want to do THAT, at least choose something
reasonable and say I'm an ungrateful scumbag for calling the literal vegetable
descriptions retarded.
