Secondly, wanderers use spells that are more spellcaster oriented. It might
not be a real surprise that hybrid spmaxes cannot handle it with just one
level. At least not alone. Do remember that you can get help with the vortex
if more people are present with wanderers.
First off, the point wasn't in "ancient" itself. I wouldn't want to upgrade
rebirthers in this matter. If you glance at ppl at level 2 or 3 in wanderers,
with a couple of exceptions, all players are 90+ level. At the time of
writing,
there are only 2 players below level 90 in the whole guild. No wonder. And
as it is, have fun trying to find that "help with the vortex", hah.
Considering you have to spend free levels on navigator and then on wanderers
versus spending a money + 0 levels it might make sense that the traveling
would not at least be WORSE than with sailors. The sailors do, after all
also give you a stat bonus.
But hey, I'm not complaining about ferries! I just might find my experience
here a bit more enjoyable if I had alternatives to sailors / ferries. I'm
even willing to spend my free levels on it. I should just have spend my
gold on ship a long time ago (actually I did but changing name in rebirth
removed access to my ship so I didn't invest on new boat to upgrade).
