All of these 'tunes' just seem to me like the game is in desperate need of

Why not just put newbies into noclip godmode before level30, that way they
wont have to deal with the everyday problems of the 'grown-ups'.
get off your high horse... when i started here i made a healer and stood at
the newbie sign healing higher level players for a month or two to get level
30 without ever killing a damn thing or getting killed myself, i hate this
bullshit belief that newbies today have it SOOOO much easier than everyone
else had it...

and regardless of what you may think about new players logging on here, it is
definitely a big turnoff to someone new when they run around and get 100k exp
on from exploring and think wow, i have a ton of exp and then suddenly their
screen turns red and they're in hell because of some stupid pointless event
they had no way of defending themselves against
Switching to here. I didn't realize newbies get exp by just healing these
days. Guess that's another one of those things.
What I was trying to say is that it's equally annoying for someone else to get
eg. 1000k exp and (insert what you said about dying).
If an event or anything else is deemed pointless and stupid for a newbie, it's
just as stupid and pointless for everyone else. So, rathen than giving newbies
immunity to some lame-gay-ass thing, modify it so it's not so lame-gay-ass.
I spent the first 6months of my game-time in church killing monks and priests
to get to level 27 and get enough gold for a haershin that got stolen by
radagast the next week. My point being whatever your point was.
