got the ship in the first place are the cargo holds. For moving

That's why I wanted a non-combatant merchant-ship. class2 does not
hold any cargo. Get the idea?
Hmm, class4 actually gets more cargo holds, and more luxury features than
class5, but class4 has fewer combat abilities than a class5...really, if you
read the stats and flavor text for class5/6, they are designed to be war
ships...so, what was it, again, about cargo holds?

Twice the lift magi's, console, more speed and crew quarters.
Crashing into a tall tree ain't that much fun either.

The bottomline is, I do not understand you at all. Maybe pvp is the only
fun thing this game, but that is not for us all. I really really do
not get it why it is enforced.

Well, now anyways the pvp rules extend to ship combat, so that I could
now just let every pirate sink me for 10 times for free, not complaints
made, and then you'd leave me alone for a month. Sound cool? thanks.

Okay, since I am completely sick of reading news today.. I have a proposal,
how about I make it so you cannot attack another players ship within the last
hour before boot? (11:00-12:15)

1) All boats get same console, class1 through class6.
2) For speed, class3 is fastest, class4 is slower than 3, class5 is slower
than 4, and so on...

3) Class4 can go over all terrain that class5 can, except mountains. Mountains
were in the game long before ships were, and before ships, players were unable
to walk over mountains too...they had to go around them, and any class of ship
can go around mountains just as well as a class5 can go over them...Oh, and
players can use nav spells to go over mountains...but you can use those same
nav spells to get your ship over too...just go dock it, use navs to get where
you want, then summon it...

Anyways, as you've pointed out...the big ships have nice features...and they
just so happen to be more desirable pirate targets...maybe if the downside of
piracy is removed, then the upside of those other things could be removed?

This message thread is blowing out of proportions, with the
same repetitive arguments being made over and over.

We have extended help player killing to include ship combat.
We are looking to put some additional protection (think:
coastal artilley) around a few major ports.

That is it. The seas are lawless. We will not disable ship
sinking, it is part of the nature of the ships. Our focus,
if anything, should be on getting it profitable enough to
take the risk of hauling cargo with the ship, not to remove
the risk.

Taking a risk is not for everybody, but you don't remove
the risk of loss from any other gamble either just because
some or a few players would rather prefer to play without it.

From my side this conversation is closed and the demands to
offer invulnerability to such ships has no merits.
