you're lucky enough to be on during tp rain/sheep, and then lucky enough to
beat someone to them, you get tp's. If you have the experience/time to
complete tasks, you get tp's.
Tp's are then either sold for ingame cash or traded in for boons.
Boons give you anywhere from a tiny to a significant advantage over players
who don't have the rl resourses/drive to get them.
I see no problem with batclient giving advantages over players who don't have
the rl resources/drive to utilize it.
And lets be real here...I doubt the mighty coders are working on skills,
powers, or statbonuses that are only available through batclient. Just flavor
and functionality...nothing that would 'imbalance' the game.
I don't use batclient. I tried. It's new and I barely know how to set up
triggers for AL Client, let alone this flashy new thing. But I do think it's
cool as hell and am proud of our beloved Batmud for creating it. I am not so
selfish as to tell them to restrict the evolution of this thing just because
I'm too lazy/set in my ways to upgrade.
Since it seems a whole heap of people missed the damn point, I'll say it
again. The point wasn't that "Oh no, don't give batclient stuff if others
can't also have it", it was "Don't give stuff ONLY to batclient if everyone
could have it." Batclient has that neat party status window for targeting
heals and such, portraits, probably a bunch of other unique features I can't
think of off the top of my head. That's fine, that's great even. The problem
would come when things were unnecessarily restricted to batclient. That is
where the problem was, the archwizards said they agreed and that the mob hp
issue was unintentional. So why are people still arguing about this?
