Chatting with another player about things and we ended up kicking around
the idea of stories in game. I think most players have sampled the Rogue and
the Reeves.. so there's an idea of whats behind them.
Roughly, a scripted linear adventure that plays out over a period of time. It
introduces some elements of the game that players maybe haven't interacted
with and gives an eventual reward. I think the idea could be developed
but perhaps in a short story format. Have a storyteller npc somewhere in
game who tells you about legends, rumours or an old scrap of map that he
has found. This develops into a one-off small adventure which could possibly\
seed storytelling elements for a future longer tale.
In a similar vein, i found a personally interesting random adventure generator
designed for pen and paper rpgs that i'll submit for no particular reason.
