How about making the spell \'light\' stackable? You can summon more than one
ball of light up to like three or four...something to eventually get to a
level of greater light or whatever. This is just so non infra races can cancel
darkness and not ask for infra every two seconds. With wis eq and spr eq to
switch, you lose a belt/ring/whatever slot just to have something that can be
done by a spell.
That, or the wizzes can just let tarms have infravision spell.

You can\'t do this, why? Because some races, such as trolls and vampires,
require darkness. Get a ring of infra or something.
That\'s exactly my point. Some people can\'t (or don\'t want to) give up slots
just for something they *should* be able to have from guild. It doesn\'t make
sense just to have the spell only be able to summon one single ball of light
when in reality (some sort of reality anyway) you would be able to cast as
many as you\'d need to successfully light up the room. I\'m not saying infra
rings are dumb (most tanks use some sort of +infra eq anyway), I\'m just
saying that being a caster in a guild where some form of this is available to
you already should be made to work in full. I understand that some races need
darkness, obviously, but making a counter ability for that should be available
in guilds. Infra eq is used only because making torches and constantly casting
infra takes extra work. Rangers have torch creation, mages have infra/greater
light, tarms have...light. Just thought it would help people who don\'t want
to sacrifice slots for things magic can already provide. Of course, you all
will probably shoot me down anyway so just skip telling me why it\'s dumb and
go straight for the pkilling
