praise be to the spider tuen. I like it, dont' get me wrong, but my flame and
complaint is that it's a little to harsh on someone like me. I havethe full 30
guild levels, only a 28 letter demon (if spaces and dashes are included), and
i have over 40k spider points, and I still can't idle for more than 10-15
minutes w/o the channel easily breaking. The very first time I sum'd my demon
after the tune was implimented, the channel broke within the first 5 minutes
of having it on, when I was on a boat to another continentent. Aga(sorry for
typos, using telnet here). Again last night, the channel broke when I was
inbetween runs on a monster.

So to be clear, please look at the tune and look into reducing its effects a
little for people like me that do actually ahve the full guild levels, and not
uber huge 500 letter demon and plenty of spider points.

Just a suggestion. Test things out, figure out what affects things,
and so on. I've had several dudes telling me "is this really
this harsh", just to have skills trained at _level requirements_.
And I can tell you, that non-existent guild theoretically has
really really mild requs. Now, you are not quite that low, but...

This is, perhaps, not the best group for this request (whine),
and this request is only loosely related to the last post
concerning a non-existing guild which I might have tried had
it existed.

One thing I have noticed, with such theoretical and real guilds,
is that many don't offer much unless quite a large number of
levels are taken. Guilds often need a lot of levels to be useful
as either first guilds or secondary guilds. However, this is not
always the case, since there are guilds for which a small(ish)
number of levels offers at least some new/useful abilities.

The non-existing guild is one that I think doesn't offer a
great deal as one's only guild or when few levels are taken.
Maybe this is a good thing, but in general I would prefer to
see more guilds which offer something without requiring most
of the levels.

So, my request is: if any wiz is freshening up guilds etc,
could they have a look at putting in a bit of useful stuff in
the lower levels of guilds.

Just to clarify what I mean, as a merchant I found that many civ
guilds gave pretty nice stuff for relatively low levels (since
any combat skills were handy, and also stuff like swim etc).
My limited experience as a monk suggested that tarma was also
quite useful at lower levels - for the fairly high ability with
smaller healing spells.

However, some other guilds, which may have a fair range of useful
skills/spells, seem only to offer skills/spells at useful
percentages in the later levels.
