It seems like the votes on mudconnect.com actually worked as we have seen
quite a big influx of new players here lately.

Even if a small percentage stays its the new blood the mud needs and because
of this i this ppl should drop by now and again and place a vote.

Maybe the administration should give a small reward if we stay in tthe top ten
for some time as to make the minmaxers here care, maybe a lottery of tp's or
whatever i dont know. But the new players are a good thing for Bat.

I've noticed the influx of new players and I will personally lean
on the... uh.. administration.. to give some reward type of thing,
if you guys keep it up. Keep up the good work!

This would be a bit easier if Bat's web page worked occasionally...

Quote from mudconnector votes:
"Players may not be offered incentives for casting votes for any given mud
(that is, players may not receive anything more than the satisfaction for
casting their one vote per day for their favorite mud)."

However, admins saying voting is good should do the trick.
Maybe add those voting links to Batmud homepage, for easy clicking,
once they get back online. I've added voting-links to my (puny)
bat-pages, feel free to go vote through these:

Aye, I had a faint recollection that there were some rules about
not allowing direct endorsement for voting (and I recall some muds
breaking it by granting in-game healing etc in exchange for voting).

So we are very grateful for those who have taken the time to vote
for BatMUD, and hope that you will do so in the future as well. We
will not award for voting, but as new players do join BatMUD, we
will keep an open eye and see which players are actively assisting
the newbies in getting familiar with bat, and then rewarding
accordingly.

I'll add some 'vote' icon on bat's webpages once we've kicked them
back up sometime this weekend. In the meantime, keep up the good
work and we hope to see BatMUD continuously in the top 10 :)
