Either make the Ndoki Forest quest generally accessible to all players, and
not just for those highbies who are on all the time and get that shield that
is available once a month or whatever , or pay 10m for it, or remove the quest
as an lq. This goes for all undoable quests.

Another quest that people are unable to complete is the area quest Scouts.
Please either add the quest back to the game for all to complete or remove
it from the quests lists.

If you have _compelling_ evidence that a quest is 100% undoable by
anyone/everyone, please bring that information to the quest's coder (that is
almost always the area's coder) using an appropriately targetted bug report.

If you do not have compelling evidence, are not 100% sure, or think that the
quest is only available to an incorrect group of people, this is not
necessarily something you should get on open channels and demand action. Of
the many, many bug reports I've gotten about quests not working, the majority
of them turned out to be that the mortal in question didn't know all the
details. Rather, they had been dragged a few times and thought they knew
everything when, as they often do, the quest had some subtle nuances they
didn't catch.

I will admit I haven't checked the Ndoki or the Scouts quests, and will do so
soon. Howegver, saying "this quest can only be done by certain people" will
generally be answered with "so what?" This is particularly true with area
quests and higher-level level quests. Complaints along the lines of "I think t
his high-level quest with good eq is only do-able by high-level players or
players on all the time" well...yeah, high-level and constant players get a
lot of perks because they are high-level and constant players.

In addition, I can say that it is very, very unlikely that any quest which has
been completed by anyone will ever be removed from the list. Quests are badg
of
respect, honor, dicksize, whatever you want to call it. Even if the entire
area has been closed, removing the quest only removes something from someone
who has actually done it. We don't, for example, remove ungettable eq very
often, and quests, while rewarding, are not nearly as powerful as some of the
stuff you've got chested.

For what it's worth, I completed the Scouts quest a few weeks ago (7th April).
At this time it didn't appear in the list of quests. As far as I know, apart
from aggravating syntax, the quest is doable. Unless something has changed
since I did it.

And How in the name on the 9 layers of Hell did you figure out the syntaxes
needed for the quest?'

First of all, I did manage to get some help with the quest. Nobody told me how
to do it, they just helped tell me what I was missing.
In my opinion there are really only a couple of awkward parts:
After having explored around and killed stuff you will wonder why you haven't
finished the quest and wonder what the next thing to do is. There's really no
prompts to figure out what to do. My first tip was that you do have to find
something specific for the scout.
The second problem was finding stuff. Here I had the help of various quest
tips/guides that exist. I can't remember what exactly, but I think one tip is
in a book in the bat library (also available on line). The other tip I had was
that a particular item that I figured out I would need is available if you
look for it. This was a real pain because my first explore around didn't turn
up anything because the syntax is a bit specific (it's a bit different in most
other areas). Once I was told that the item could be found it just took a hell
of a lot of messing about to actually get it.

I don't know if this is what other people find. I do think there is a general
problem with some quests, which may not be written particularly well, in that,
even when you know what you are trying to do, it's hard to figure out how to
do it and, more importantly, whether or not what you are trying to do is close
to what you are meant to do.
In my opinion, the best quests are those that prompt you when you are on the
right track.
