And now, here are some of the entries I found interesting for the contest (no
names):
-- nun/templar + AoA. Yes, yes, everyone and their secodary sent this one in.
Good, effective combo, I'll grant you that.
-- tank + battle cadence. Another popular and powerful choice, letting the
regular melee damage with short blades drastically increase. Excellent for
solo work.
-- bard and/or merchant + resurrect. Yet another party spell/service you can
charge for.
-- barbarian + calm animal. For a low-level player, this is a good way to get
repeated battlecries on the same monster and rack up the solo killcount.
-- catfolk mage + parry. A mage with dodge _and_ parry can actually kill
things!
-- lord of chaos + lure AND barbarian + summon blade. A couple of nice
crossovers here.
-- priest + healing mastery. Get more use out of the evil relig with this one.
-- tarmie + craft orb. The ability to make instant self-healing items would be
welcome indeed.
-- alchie + mining. A blast from the past, this combo used to be possible.
-- priest + tiger claw. You already have the mastery, after all.
-- alchie + breath of doom. With shift blade, this is possible...and I have to
admit, I love the idea of a drunk alch running all over the place with toxic
vapours spilling out of his home-brew-breath.
-- mage + riding. The idea of a sorcerer throwing fireballs from dragonback is
very appealing.
-- merchant + laying on hands. Getting back all those eps in a hurry is
something EVERY merchant wishes they could do.
As fun as these ideas were, none of them are the winners! (It was _really_
hard to pass by merchant + loh, too). The winning combinations will be
revealed in the next post.
