Gore is one of the best leaders that BatMUD has ever had. As both a member of
the Bat Ry council and a leader developer of in-game content, Gore has done
many things to try to keep BatMUD interesting and allow it to persist.

Most of you know that I whine and complain quite regularly about the way the
administration deals with disciplining players. What I do not do, is complain
seriously about the changes and tunes. The reason I do not complain is that
most of the changes "in the long run", do NOT ruin playing.

If you have any true experience in BatMUD you realize that if something is
SERIOUSLY broken and hampering enjoyable play, it will be looked at.

If you have any true experience in a leadership position in an unofficial
project (Such as BatMUD) you know not to treat Gore, Favorit, and even the
criminal Durand in such a disrespectful manner.

What I've noticed in all your posts is that you mortals simply don't get it,
at least most of you. One person says "Wizards code for free and give their
time so you should never whine!" Then another person says "Wizards are not
forced to do this, so they should just quit if they can't take the whine"

The problem is that your WHINES are not helpful. None of the wizards has asked
you to support them 100% of the time and none of them want you to constantly
bash/flame/bitch at every idea.

There are players out there who have already adapted to this tune, they ran
out and soloed a 25k/minute rate in areas that usually would have horrible
tunes since most people just sat inside and complained. BatMUD is not now, nor
was it ever, unplayable.

What you need to do as players is show your appreciation for the effort that
was put in to this game in your criticisms. As civilized human beings I would
hope you would do as Favorit has suggested and consider things from another
person's point of view. The second thing you need to do is WAIT. Things will
get sorted out. A humongous natural disaster in the Bat realm happened, things
are in a transitional state, they will get back to normal.

Most of you add nothing to BatMUD besides your presence, the least you could
do is show some appreciation/consideration for the FREE service you are
getting by demonstrating you have some civility in your rants. Criticism is
needed, but be CONSTRUCTIVE.

I hope the action of players like Fil (recently) and other consistent flamers
don't force the few active experienced admins we have from leaving BatMUD. I,
along with other players, appreciate all the work that the coders have done.
