Again i reiterate that i know nothing about ships. I understand you dont lose
much by being "pkilled" with your ship. However, you dont lose "much" when
you are pkilled by a player either. But its the same thing. My friend was
repeatedly sunk at oystria just doing the normal things a noobie does. I am
not blaming the person who sunk him, because that is how the system is set up.
However what i am merely pointing out is that currently ships work like the
old "pkilling" system on Ultima, where it was profitable for high level
players to just going around, raping noobs. We fixed that here in bat by
making pkill rules, but ships dont have those so what you are going to have is
a few high level players fucking the living shit out of noobies. And if you
dont want that, for whatever reason, then you should do something codewise or
management wise to change it.

Indeed, so far the only option for pirates/navy to earn rep has been to attack
other player ships. This is why NPC ships is my number 1 priority after all of
these worldmap changes settle down. Once there are other options out there, I
will most likely make some further rules about PvP ship combat, although I
certainly won't ban it completely.
