I could not agree more. I talked this over with era....basically the entire
concept inmho is totally flawed. The problem is that it takes a HUGE amount
of time to defend, and also are basically only able to defended by some really
tough players. Theres a few pieces of eq in this game that make fighting
against "highbies" just basically suicide for most players. So essentially
the system is just there to make the richest, most powerful players here even
richer, and more powerful. This is something, imho that as far as game
balance goes, this mud does not need. Imho, again the benefits are far far
too great also. There is something like, 7 or 9 megs a WEEK (A WEEK!) in
revenue that is produced when someone owns most or all of those forts. You
can see how great an advantage that is. This system really needs to be
retought out so that is in balance.
