I would very much like to thank those mudders who helped turn a botched
weekend for a few of us into a time we will never forget. Blayke, Jacen, and I
all had our flights to canceled to Helsinki while we were en route to New York
City on connecting flights. With a few phone calls, we managed to put together
a little something and salvage the weekend.

I would like to specifially thank Delita for hosting us on Friday night.

Even more specifically, I would like to extend my gratitude to Pangi who came
and got us from the airport, drove us all over Long Island and New York City,
gave us a place to sleep, gave us a wonderful tour of the city, and for
putting up with our crap all weekend.

All in all the weekend turned out pretty well. Appearances were made by:
Tarken, Blayke, Lozlo, Jacen, Pangi, Dutois, Iris, Ssmud, Delita, Lozlo, as
well as some significant others of the abovementioned.

I hope that those who were able to make it to the gala had a great time, I
heard there was quite a spectacular special appearance there that I am quite
jealous of. Also, I sympathize with those who were or still are stranded as a
result of the volcano in Iceland. Luckily the airlines seem to be very
forgiving in these times as well. Nevertheless, I hope at least everyone found
some way of celebrating this truly remarkable accomplishment and community
event.

Happy Birthday BatMUD, we have seen 20 years of fun and friends and let many
more come our way.
