I _KNOW_ this will be a highly unpopular viewpoint (probably) but I dont see a
HUGE amount wrong with the shiptrainer system. Yes its a royal pain in the
ass to get them. But i really really hate how everybody now wants instant
gratification here. The whole point about ship trainers is that it really
makes a difference for the players who ACTUALLY put the real time and effort
into upgrading their ship and checking those trainers. Yes it takes a while
but in terms of game play, that is what seperates bat from say wow or some
Xbox platform game...you cant win it and pimp your char out 100% in 2 months.
I kind of like Gotrek's idea of giving a guaranteed number of checks of
trainers until you get one (that way you know you are not totally wasting your
time checking the trainers). Just don't make it so everyone can get full
trainers in a few months. It wasn't how the system was designed by the
original coder and its not how bat works in general.

That is my 2 cents. Less whining please also!!!

I might be wrong, but isn't there a function of sinking ships for
coins.....gets you points....and thus can increase levels of sailors without
trainers?

2 cents, Res

Lame that 'mighty hibie' whom already has purchased all trainers, and likely
has sank a handfull of ships himself, does whine about the whining when the
old system already hooked his rich ass up! MAN UP AND SHUT UP!
