Hello,

First I think everyone should thank Shinarae for these mud-wide events he does
that take weeks of his IRL time to code. A lot of games/muds don't have any
variety.

If you think about it, look how many unidle players there were during this
event, versus the usual amount of players. Clearly there is interest in these
events and thus there should be gratitude, even if there were some
unforseeable problems.

Shinarae has said the event will be run next Sunday, so the player-base should
be as good, if not better than this past Sunday. (i.e. people won't be going
to IRL halloween parties this coming sunday). So even more players will have
an opportunity to do this. In any case, it's not really acceptable for
players to scream/threaten wizards due to this restore. Of course, some of us
got a little excited when we lost a lot of things, but now is the time to calm
down a little and just play the game.

In the old days, the mud crashed and you lost all your eq and didn't get
restore. But fear not, not everything has changed, Serra&Glacius will still
rob your EQ and you will get zap for whining about it . But in all
seriousness, thanks to all the wizards who participated in this fix and the
event, and who will help in the re-run!
