Every year for as long as can remember I have sponsored a contest to help
newbie players in the game. For the first time last year I suggested that
upper level players help donate to the cause. Most players of all levels
jumped at the chance. And of course some players did not want anything to do
with it, and felt offended by my plea. In the end the contest was a HUGE (tm)
success without the help of the offended.
This year I hope with your help (if you help donate) to make this Contest
the biggest event ever on BatMUD. I will be takeing donations of money, ships,
chests, weapons, armours, etc. All donations 'WILL' be given away to the
people that are entered. With your help this contest will be the best ever.
Last year I announced I was being treated for cancer. Thru lots of pain
my cancer is in remission, and no longer haunting me. Thanks to all of you for
your thoughts and prayers.
In closeing I think that helping out the newbie population is the future
of this game. From the results I have seen thru past contests that more than
ever the newbies and players are becoming much better interaction wise, and
the newbies seem to be hanging in the game better. So help me help them move
forward in the game. For it is the future of this game in the end.
