If you ask me, the giveaway was even BETTER because we got nothing from the
admin. The idea that players act selflessly and with fairness to others
without prompting or bribery from the Admins is a rare sight here. I'm sorry
that Shmuzin felt the way he did but I guess he's entitled to feel however he
wants. Still, I think the giveaway was great, and a bonus to the game, and we
certainly need more "free shit" from the admin. I think its a very WRONG
attitude to come to just expect flowery free shit on special events. When you
get cool things like tps etc, I really think you should view that as a great
gift, you should feel like you are "entitled" to it (and to some respects, I
think previous giveaways have maybe created a bad precedent that way). Still,
I'm sure that the newbie giveaway will continue in one shape or form if
Shmuzin doesn't do it next year....a lot of players (myself included) were
happy to chip and enjoyed seeing the community come together.
