Shortly after boot this Sunday, 27th May, a team lead by Merc will be entering
Hell to kill Asmodeus.

This is an interesting mob in that participation from the rest of the MUD is
needed for this to succeed and I will be managing the altar of sacrifice in
Hell so that Asmodeus can be killed. This will probably start to be used
between 14:00 and 15:00 EET and will require the regular sacrificing of
players' lives until Asmodeus is dead.

If you sacrifice yourself, you will die. You will also lose much more age from
death than is normal.

As a reward for laying down your life, you will get 1k per level. In addition
you will be entered into a lottery of large cash prizes and equipment, which
will be done afterwards.

A partial list of equipment is given below (more to come later):

Silverstar bracelets: +8 wis, +4% mastery of medicine
Glittery crystal breastplate: tuneable bonuses
Nightfall, proclaimer of death eternal: lblade, +4 str, +4 dam
Pair of cold black leggings: +10 str, +general protection
A deep green trident with barbed blades: polearm, poison damage, 5 con, +5%

Silver ring bearing white figure of a dove: +8% quick chant +8% flames of
righteousness, +2% power of faith
Heavy black metal ring: +5 spr, +2 int
Mace of the Manta Ray: bludgeon, poison damage
Red crystal wand: +8 int, zap special
Black Reaver's gauntlets: +2 dex, +4 dam
Necklace of unearthly might: +5 dam, +5% attack, -4 con
Crystallic Amazon battlesuit: +10 avoid, good prots/coverage
Fire Diamond Battleaxe: fire damage, +8 str
