Create a process where a player can get HARSHLY penalized no matter what they
do to try to prevent it from happening..........

FORTUNATELY, Batmud has such a system, its called fumbled ressurect.

scenario:

The caster:
100 ressurect , 100 cast special

The recipient (ME)
99 or 100 Charisma

what can go wrong ??

Perhaps this:...

You feel a bit older.

You lose a level.

You feel mentally weaker.

You feel a lot older.

You feel mentally weaker.

I personally find it ridiculous that even though care was taken to have full
spells/skill and reasonable stats , good charisma , that the fumble
1) even happened , 2) was SOoOOoo ridiculously harsh

Fortunately this happened literally the day before i was going to donate again,
so now i have some money to go find another game for the time being to occupy
me, and hopefully not one with such a ridiculous feature.

I bid you all good day.

To respond to your post in a less knee-jerk-reaction way:

Please tell me WHY should a tarma how has Taken the care to max their stuff and
has good stats but a LOWER LEVEL and the recipient person who has charisma at
perfect, WHY should they be penalized JUST BECAUSE THE TARMA HAS A LOWER LEVEL
??

Please see this post made by pyygins which quite reasonably asked someone to
look into it.
http://www.bat.org/forums?a=view_post&postid=55726&group_name=general&page=

BASED on your response post & the lack of reply/action from pyggins post,
CLEARLY there is a LACK OF CARE/INTEREST here from the immortal side of the
fence...

The described effect indeed seems rather out of line, and a change would be
good to see. That said, I think you'll have a higher chance of influcncing
such a decision if you phrase your request more constructively - while I
haven't yet attempted to push for any changes over here, experience teaches me
that yelling very rarely yields results.

Just a random thought of the day, carry on!

I'm trying to figure out why it might be coded that way. Maybe it's some
effort to keep low level tarms from being twinked by higher level players? It
seems like there's gotta be a better way to get it done. If not that, why is
it like this? Anyway, the silence from Pyggin's post and general silence from
your post makes me doubt there'll be any informative response in this case
either.
