I really, really hate not being able to set the name and gender of my special
crew. If there is a balance related reason for this, please institute an
alternate cost for altering specials. This restriction is half the reason I
haven't given my ship a theme already. :(

The original rationale I had for restricting renaming was that a) it'd make it
just a little tougher to get all the specialists you want, and b) it makes
specialists just a little more special, having a bit more of a mind of their
own.

However, that restriction was put in place in the early years of my coding of
ships, and I've had other plans made since then. So, to preserve some of the
concept, while also freeing up some freedom of choice, I'll make it so that
you can rename/regender them once every 6 months or so. Odds are, I'll get to
that around the middle of this coming week.

P.S. The higher level 'uniques' (which there is only one of so far) will have
their name permanently set at hiring time, but you'll have the option of
choosing the name at that time.
