I decided that the big switch statement to convert raw speed into room/tick
was silly, and got rid of it. It was a mostly linear function before; now it
is completely linear.
What does this mean? Well, extremely slow ships got slower. However, any ship
that could move at least once every few seconds will have benefited. The
faster your ship was before, the more of a bonus you'll get from this tune.
Furthermore, the speed cap has been eliminated, at least for now (not that I
think more than 1-2 people have actually reached it). There is a diminishing
returns after you reach 10 squares/tick however, just to keep things slightly
reasonable.
Just a couple of numbers: a ship averaging 1 square/tick before is relatively
unchanged. if you were at 3 squares per tick before, you'll be closer to 4
now. and at the old cap of 7.75, you'll go up to 9 now.
Also, I have tweaked the console info settings for reasons that will be
unknown to almost everyone. However, you shouldn't notice any drastic
differences.
You're welcome to pester fellow mortals to discover what I'm talking about if
you're <really> curious, but it's no big deal - I just mention it here since
there's a slight chance some of you will see a change and wonder why.
