I think it\'s extremely unfair the way the current reinc system determines exp
to regain your totals. A guy with 300m+ takes slow reinc - he needs to make 9m
exp. A guy with 25m takes a reinc - he needs to make 1.5m. Anyone else see a
problem with that? (And I\'m not asking those highbies that profit from this
difference.) If his totals are 12 times less than that of the first player,
his exp to regain needs to be 750k, NOT 1.5m. Could someone please fix that,
so lower level people can reinc too? Or does this mud cater ONLY for higher
level players?

Do you think that \'highbies\' (for some definition of word) truly enjoy grinding those N megs either? I don\'t count myself one, and think that gradual are for masochists. Instant reinc, baby. Effectiveness-wise, for 2% tax I reinc at instant these days, I lose more by taking slow simply by smaller exp share in parties, and general suckage which leads to inability to solo.

And the suckage seems to take literally forever on slow (fastest I\'ve done it is in 2 days, but that involved too much playing); in that time at least I\'d make the 1.5% worth of experience more with simply bigger share in party _if_ I played that actively, and I can choose not to as I can twidle eq and such at leisure with working reinc and gradually gather the lost exp.

End result? PLEASE make the exp rate gain constant, not \'grows until end\'. I don\'t even care if the constant isn\'t huge, as long as it\'s better than the initial gain rate - it\'s ludicruous that I feel huge urge to MIP EVERY time I take non-instant reinc, as I suck horribly for the first meg or two and don\'t enjoy the playing at all.

Plan B (the Evil Plan) would be to disable MIP in reinc, of course ;-)

Well, true for you. A few additions though. As you rightly pointed out, there is MiP. Well, it\'s well enough for a lvl 100 to MiP his cash for exp. They have infinitely more ways to come up with it than a newbie raping mines or a \'lowbie\' raping some other god-forsaken area. So either disable that (so we at least get some more response out of the usual highbie than \'stop whining and play, sucker\') or up the gain rate and fix the difference. As someone pointed out, this slow exp regain rate makes newbies (and midbies) want to reinc less, therefore forcing them to accumulate exp -> result is the evident hyper-increased numbers of players with loads of exp -> more need for tuning or exp division by 100. Anyway, perhaps this was supposed to go to flame, but I want this idea to be heard.

Actually saldas you are wrong. It is fair. Exp gain is not linear. A 300M player doesn\' t necessarily make exp 30 times faster than a 10M player.
For example I can make about 200-300k per hour as 10M tarm leading a party, as a 300M player i can probably only make max of 500k per hour or less, this is not 30 times more, only 2 times more. I dont think i could make 6M per hour even if i did have 300m totals :)
So in fact it takes MUCH longer for those highbies to make slow reinc and regain all of their exp.

I have no idea where to send this post, but i'll send it to the same thread.
So are you trying to say that a 300M player has a harder time to make exp than
a newbie-sized one? If you have 300M you almost certainly have friends that
will help you out. And with MiP you can convert your easy eq cash and what not
to exp, just like that. I don't see any fairness in that at all. Of course it
doesn't mean you can make 6m/hr, but you still can make significantly more
than a person with 20m totals. Hell, you have highbies of that size making
hundreds of 'k's of cash an hour, doesn't that give you a clue to how fast
they can get their exp back with MiP?

making 9m worth of cash or exp takes several days, making 750k takes less than one even if you are completly useless and just lead from the back row...
