I was just thinking about this new armour damage thing, when mob examble
(scrapes you) like 5hp dam to arm slot, would it be possible that your whole
set isnt vulnerable to the damage recieved to arm slot? that would atleast
sound logical that only the arm slot item would take dam or not. just an idea.

If you're referring to the messages from the battle hits like "Tinydude
lightly slaps your leg like a little wuss" or "Megabeoth RIPS YOUR WHOLE FACE
OFF!" thent he answer will be no. Why? Highbies would suffer.

Highbies fight nastier monsters that do more damage per strike. Also, because
the monsters do more damage per strike, the hits they take tend to go to the
vital areas -- head, torso, neck, and belt (think about it, guys). As such,
highbie eq worn there would be shredded within a couple of fights, while
newbies would have to polish their shoes every other Tuesday.

Those of you who have played this game for a while know not to take the battle
messages very literally (how many limbs can you cut off an orc, anyhow?).
There is no direct tie between damage message in combat vs. the eq that might
take damage on the hit.
