Just for security, maybe wizzes can put in a confirmation to quit out. With
\'ld\' command, you save everything, but quit drops eq and if people freakout
and accidentally type it, they won\'t have enough time to \"help
quit\" and read how to cancel in 5 secs (assuming they weren\'t in recent
battle). People of course could just not use quit command or be more careful,
but I just feel that it would help the future bitching and moaning if someone
*does* accidentally do it.
Syntax would be something like \"Are you sure you would like to quit (eq
will be dropped [etc]) - [y/n]\"

I'm actually against this. There are helpfiles that tell you what happens with
your gear when you quit/ld. Everyone should have read that help in some
compulsory levelquest, whichever it was.
There are consequenses for every action you do. Don't let microsoft fool you
that everyone is asking you yes/no in every place always. Try playing around
on an unix box as root and see how much questions you get. Think before you
hit enter.

So you are saying that people that has been playing from the days of DOS and
have used to write "quit", to get their achicments in game/program/editor
saved or promted to be saved, fools?
BatMUD's command "ld" is exception of the common "quit" that is used in 99,99%
of the worlds programs.
If i would have the power and the might, i would make "ld=quit" and remove
the whole present effect of quit. Consequences? Rooms where you dont get out
but either solving a puzzle or dying, would realy have some meaning. Now there
is only huge EQ dump for one player, others quit and the last one stuck in the
room with the EQ, kills himself, he gets raised or whatever and the show goes
on. I highly doubt that the puzzles are meant to be solved like this.

Blaah let quit be as it is, if ya think its risk that ya type quit
accidentally and can't stop it make command to avoid it like command quit ld.
Anyway ya can always go and pick yer stuff where ya dropped em.
