I was talking to a player who had recently rebirthed, and I mentioned
my plans to do so when I earned the exp. He said:
too bad i couldnt give u 45M of my wasted 200
and that got me thinking. Here is an idea where you can bequeath leftover
rebirth exp to someone. I'm not talking a 1:1 ratio or anything, but
how about a 1:10 ratio? So using the above tell as an example
I would have been able to get 20M from that. Since I think that
most people try to rebirth (especially 3rd) alot closer to the required
exp number, I think this might be alot less impactful (in most cases)
than my example.

PS And of course, you wouldnt be able to bequeath it to yourself either.
That'd be sorta like "When I die, I leave all my possessions to me!"

Messing up two player files has bad weather written all over it, someone,
somehow, somewhere will mess it up. One being able to use extra exp for
something semi-usefull, like abilities could have somekind of idea, but
supposedly that one is still fighting against the idea of rebirth. To gain
more powe... erm... to have a fresh start.

From my perspective:
While an admirably charitable use of excess experience, I think we need to
look at this from a larger perspective. Remember that you come here to have
fun and do was^H^H^Hspend time with your internet friends. Those who choose to
rebirth hopefully do so for some intrinsic reasons such as experiencing the
lower levels of the game again and starting 'fresh' as Superlapa nicely
pointed out. If we allow one to suddenly obtain huge amounts of experience
from someone else, you're only going to get shortchanged further out of a
better gaming experience. There is a reason that BatMUD doesn't have cheat
codes and discourages free things from wizards and such, and that is to make
sure that you have the most fun here as possible. If this is really something
you want to do, I have heard of methods to 'give' people your exp, but I can't
honestly encourage it or attest to its legality. Besides, I'm sure you'll
appreciate your experience a little more if you grind out that 20m than have
someone give it to you.
