Could we have an option to clear tell status when recovering from linkdeath?
Personally, I seem to forget @work tell status every time I leave work and
login again from home.
We have other fancy automatic tell status stuffs like camping already.

To make it more modern, add an option to auto-toggle tell status depending on
your IP-address where you log in from.

This has some merit. I have debated doing something like this for myself at
least. I'll talk about it with some others and see what they think. Most
likely, it would be an ability-typed thing you can buy...but not sure yet.

How about just echoing the tell status back to the player when he comes back
from the link death? No need for an extra option and no need to lose the
status, if one happens to go link dead accidentally.

That is true, there is always the <tellstatus> prompt code if you're THAT
worried about it.

In Tinyfugue, place this line in your .tfrc file, or the file you load
when you connect to batmud:
/REPEAT -10 1 /SEND @tell status

This will do a @tell status 10 seconds after logon. I'm sure other
clients have similar functionality, but I dont know about other clients.

--Hair

PS do not include the leading space from the /REPEAT line, I had
to do that to make sure tf didnt interpret it as a command as
I was typing.

Or how about an equivalent to 'ripaction', but for login? Perhaps have a few
hooks for similar events? Death, login, etc. That way, a player can decide
what things to perform at what times.

Death and login are things that really simple to trigger client side, I
wouldn't mind having hooks more more complicated things like battle ended
thought.
