A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....
Err well, 15+ years ago in a previous incarnation of Batmud anyway...
There used to be an area called 'Shadowkeep Sewers', if memory serves.
The neat thing about this area was that it was level limited, and players
could go in there and kill monsters and get some sort of tokens. The
players could then go to a specific shop in that area and redeem those
tokens for some 'ok' midbie gear. I think this would be a nifty area
to bring back, or to code a new area similar to that. Some ideas
for eq available there would be some +3-to-6 stat armours for a few
various slots, maybe +2-to-4 spr and maybe +1-2 damage/avoid/hit
armours as well.
I was thinking it would probably be best if this were some sort of
level-limited area, level 50 or thereabouts, and eq purchased from
this shop would get that person's name, only be wearable by that
person, and have 0 sacval. I realise this is not a small undertaking,
but I think an area like this would encourage new players to stick
around a while and perhaps longer.

Now, I never personally played in this old area, It was level limited
when it was introduced, and I was already too high level to be able
to get in, but I think something like this would bring value to the
game and allow it to stay around longer.
