Barbarian events should be *must join* for all online barbarians (atleast
without quests). Skipping event should grant -rep or some other slight
penalty. Also the amount of participants should be lowered to minimum of two
players for getting those events started more often. Exact time counters to
event infos instead of 'May join' like recently posted, would rock so much
too! Thank you for reading.

Maybe instead just fix the problem.. all events prompt players if they
want to join it, then instantly transport them to it.

Problem is that in blood bowl you are not allowed to have eqs (except the
weapons given at the arena). This instantly-transport-system wouldnt work. I
do agree with Tume that there should be a penalty for not participating, just
like with nun prayers.**

Nuns are devoted worshippers of Las.
Barbarians might have other villages to burn or women to rape while events
occur.

How about maybe just increasing the reward so that most barbarians would
*WANT* to participate. Now it is probably so lame that no one cares. I
remember as a barb that I always wanted to participate in the critter hunt but
the barb arena event was usually lame ....

That was most likely because in critter hunt you were able to use uber-cheat
eqs and kill the other players more easily, where as in blood bowl you could
not, and hence you always lost.

If I'm idling or on to chat, or just being lazy and online in case something
interesting happens, and suddenly I'm forced to tell my wife that I need to
pause the movie or stop doing nasty things to me just because I happen to be
online when an event starts, or if I'm just about to pass out and log when
suddenly an event fires off and I don't want to lose rep for logging.. I
shouldn't be forced to participate.. please don't do that.. it's one of the
reasons I don't reinc nun.

If people aren't joining those events, it's because the incentive to
participate isn't high enough. Give more rep bonuses, or temporary
+dam/hit/str/something for participating that lasts until the next event is
run. Do something like this to make people actually want to stop what they're
doing and join, not go screw people for not joining something that just isn't
worth the time.

It would only take a few extra lines of code to strip the player
naked and give him eqs back after the event was over.. then again..
maybe you're right.

Barbarian events will not become requisite of participation.
