Currently it seems that you cannot demolish a pcity room if there are
existing rooms above it, meaning you'd have to demolish the
upper rooms to be able to demolish a lower room, if you wanted to
rearrange things somewhat. I think it would be neat if someone who
is skilled in carpentry could come in and put in some temporary supports
that would allow the lower room to be demolished and a new room built
in its place. This happens all the time in house renovations, and
it would be nice to not have to demolish and rebuild unnecessarily.
There would be some conditions of course. All of the rooms above
the remodeled room would have to be owned by the player doing the
building, and would have to be empty. Also the supports would only
last a short time, maybe until boot, then they collapse and you would
have to pay extra to remove the debris from the upper rooms, then rebuild
them anyway.
The number of rooms able to be supported would be dependant on the
skill of the carpenter and the quality of the reinforcing materials
used.
So yeah, this would be neat, or simply give a toggle to be able to
rebuild a room, perhaps with some additional cost involved, if there
exists some current module where you want to build.
Ok, so I'm done channelling my inner Norm Abram now.
