The April Fool's event came to an end that was, at least as far as I was
concerned, successful.

Perhaps you remember the BatMUD survey from a while back? One of the topics
that came up wer that some players wanted to see:
-- significant one-shot events
-- massive multi-party battles
-- increased character interaction

From players' involvment (or lack thereof) in this particular event, I think
it is safe to say that this sort of thing can work. While this exact event
won't happen again, the lessons it provided the BatMUD administration will
help shape future such events. You won't see them often, but you will see
them.
