Using any command that is deliberately configured to abuse other players'
triggers, such as the perfectly legal "communication-style" triggers, is now
illegal. The severity of the punishment will depend on the nature of the
offense, in much the same way as the punishments of triggers themselves.
While we, the wizards and admins of BatMUD, appreciate your help in finding
robot players, and ask for your continued help in doing so, using their
trigger against them to make them say stupid things on channels (for example)
is overkill. On the darker side, making a command that forces players to clear
their keeplist and then donate all their eq to Damogran, just because they are
trying to report to party channel they were hit by a spell (for example), is
grand-scale cheating. Posted "help cheating" rules have been updated with this
in mind.
In addition, it would be worth your time to at least consider a delim other
than your standard-issue semicolon, once you reach level, say, 21. A custom
delim is the first and best way to prevent this kind of abuse from happening
to you. Especially since we probably won't reimburse, any more than illegal
pkill victims get a free lossless pray.
