For the record:
Occasionally, we have had a crash or two. In those rare cases, the procedure
is roughly as follows (and in that exact order):
- Check if you got crash recovery of your items
- Check if you can reimburse your items through the gnome warehouse
- Check if an arch has offered restores on the bat channel (we are not
*obliged* to do them, any time we spend restoring is time away from us).

Manual restores are only done right after the crash. The longer the time
since the crash, the more inconsistant the backups will be. Requests for
restores hours/days after the crash occured will not be honored for that
reason. Thus it also makes sense to close your chests when you don't need
them. Don't just rely on Armageddon to close them for you every boot, and
then realize days later that during a crash some of those chests turned up
empty.
