Followers of the Scorpion, better known as Aelena, are now accepting new
members.

The guild is open to civilized and evil religious backgrounds, and provides
the prospective member with poisons of many varieties.

Many thanks to Qazar whose poison code, diligently created over the span of
several years, was used as the basis of the guild. Many thanks to Hackop also,
who joined in at the second wave, enabling the guild to be finished and
finally brought into the game. And my condolences to Hackop, too; he has
(silly wizard!) promised to take over the guild maintenance and development
completely from this point forward.

This is version one of the guild, and not unlike the Slaves of the
Beastmaster, the guild will now enter a phase where 'version 2' will be
planned. This will take some time as the guild code base needs to settle
completely before further development can be reliably planned.

Please note that this guild provides a completely new element to BatMUD - that
is, damage that occurs outside combat. Even if the guild is now in game, this
means that us, the wizards, will need to carefully monitor the guild for quite
some time and tune it accordingly.

This may mean uptunes, but as you probably have already guessed, the
probability of downtunes/abuse hole prevention is more likely. And please,
PLEASE, if you notice an abusehole, please report it. I may not have the right
to zap your ass to Valhalla and back, but trust me, if I think you're trying
to abuse a feature you KNOW must be unintentional, I can still make your
gaming experience quite a lot less enjoyable.

Bugreports should go primarily to Hackop, then me (in that order). Same thing
with ideas.

If you have tune-related wihning to do, please direct it to me. It's probably
of my doing anyway; Hackop has very little control over the 'bigger
guidelines' that the guild must follow. You are free to whine either way; if
something is too powerful, or not powerful enough in your opinion.
