On April 14, 2012, BatMUD will turn 22 years old. Some of us have only been
around for a few of those years, others decades, and even a rare few remain
from its days of inception. Nonetheless, it's an important occasion to
celebrate, as it marks 22 years of gaming which has brought together people
from around the world. We find ourselves fighting side-by-side in virtual
combat, meeting people at conventions and assemblies, meeting the love of
one's life, chatting about our communal interests, and developing unique and
enduring friendships like none other.

It is because of these things that I am happy to announce our 22nd Birthday
Celebration. For two days, from reboot on April 14, 2012, to reboot on April
16, 2012, players will be permitted to gather and fight together for 48 hours
of completely tuneless experience, free from the imposition of both personal
and global experience tunes so that we may celebrate with fun times and
opportunities for all. So mark your calendars, call your friends, distract
your wives(or husbands), and tie up the kids, as I'm sure there will be more
festivities to follow.
