I've calmed down somewhat, still pissed about the ackbars thing, but eh.

sit here and wait with frenzy on the rest of boot, either they'll make a
damien, or they'll have to walk past me at some stage, or they'll have to go
without the entire boot. If it's one of the first two options, I'm going to
dedicate myself to fucking up their game, it'll be a nice excuse for a mage
reinc, and my dest wands have been just rotting away in their chests. It's

reinced! First nomad reinc in over 2 years. Taken all my barb levels so far, I
sure hope ranger REAAAALLY helps my regen cause right now it's painful. Just a
shame I have to spend 1m gold on guild levels to find out.

Oh the irony. The day I actually unchest any decent eq, the mud crashes :P And
at the time I had dropped all my eq to my tzarakk mount.

I've asked Favorit to give me a room restore, that'll atleast get back the
good eq that had been chested up until a couple hours before the crash, and
the only other stuff besides that was just reaper trident, sword of apollo,
and bamboo saddlebags. Nothing really worth crying over, so I don't mind
losing that.

Plus, I'm tired, and I would have had to wait some to get individual eq
restores, if it was even possible. I guess there are a couple lessons I can
take from all this: Firstly, it's probably not completely safe to drop my eq
to tzarakk mount. Secondly: While eq and inventory saves over boot, it's still
a good idea to chest.

Lesson learnt :) I'm glad I didn't lose anything important, I'm not bothered
losing 145k worth of stuff, back when I was a newbie I lost a large number of
a lot more valuable things just to my own stupidity.

And I did need some motivation to do some cash runs after all :)

That death really irritated me :(

For the third time this week my internet has dropped during combat, leaving me
dead once I manage to reconnect. This time I had 1m exp on. Maybe I should
train more often, but it's a pain in the ass having to go all the way back to
lucentium every 45 minutes or so to train off. Changing ISP also isn't an
option since the internet isn't in my name and the other guys apparently don't
give a shit. Yay me!

oh I always forget to write updates when I reinc. So 16th if june-ish I
reinced to gnoll tzarakk/spider exp/cash machine thingy. Goin okay.

Update:

Blacksmith clarified that he only cast degen since relocating to me wasn't a
big trouble to him, so his 'punishment' was in kind. Fair enough

I still think it amusing that he would be expecting money on the spot that I
never promised anyone. If I don't specify 'paying' in a request, I'll usually
xfer 500 gold once I'm at a bank, but it's certainly not something that should
be expected, and if nobody is willing to offer what I ask for pro-bono, THEN I
offer cash for it, in this case, I didn't have cash, Shimi did, and offered
(without my asking him to) to pay on wanted, then as mentioned was whisked
away. All events outside my control.

I also find it laughable that Blacksmith mentions I did not make it clear that
I had already gotten the restore when he relocced in, I would like to point
out that Blacksmith didn't ask me if I still needed it (which is just as much
of a common courtesy as my saying I had got it on channel), and that Typhos
had only just restored me prior to Blacksmith's arrival, the entire time me
being unable to see due to the dark.

I guess my point is, I probably would have been happy to transfer blacksmith
some money for his troubles once I was back at civ, but he acted like a cock
about it. Whether he was trying to teach the ignorant newbie a lesson in
batmud ettiquet, or what, I don't know, but those kinda things don't endear
you to people. Which probably explains why people don't seem to like him so
much.

'went off', successfully or otherwise), then demands the 'two shinies'. I tell
him I didn't promise the two shinies (my inventory is empty of even a single
coin), and he waits, and I shrug, and he casts degen at me, and leaves.

Just as an asside: Degen lowers your hpr, to an evil relig tank with shattered
feast, not having ANY hpr at all wouldn't be a big deal, as it was I was still
ticking 30hp, had full spr, and could happily feast to regen as I normally do.

asked for. not my problem if it didn't do anything.'

To which I pointed out that that was entirely true, just like it wasn't my
fault he was too lazy to track down Shimi to get his money :P

Not such a big thing in and of itself, but I soloed it, and it took me 3-4
hours to do so. Had a couple of close calls, and my good berry apparatus
really didn't last long enough to be useful, but in the end it was just a
matter of patience.

At the risk of jynxing it, I'm really enjoying this mage reinc. It's only been
a couple days so far, so I wont get ahead of myself, I might still end up
reinc out, but I hope I don't, I've been somewhat forced to party, and it's
been a lot of fun (a LOT more fun than soloing ever was). But again, I know
myself, and in 2 weeks time I'll probably be already planning my next reinc.
It's almost a little sad, I'd like to stick with mage (maybe even for good),
if only I wasn't so weak willed. I guess we'll see what happens.

Hmm, I've discovered that, with a few exceptions, such as my dodge staff, I'm
not really fond of eq. Weapons are a nescesity to any non MA using tank, but
beyond that, it just seems to me that the crappy newbie eq I can afford to buy
isn't really worth having. In the future when I am a highbie I'm sure I'll use
eq, but for now I think I'll stay mostly eqless, and try save up money for
that time.

When did alcohol stop being so much fun? Admitedly I didn't drink much at all
this weekend (the unofficial NZ batmud con), but that was largely because I
couldn't be bothered, it just seemed like a waste of time. So much for the
weekend of drunken stupidity I had been expecting (although I was
particularily stupid, though more from sleep deprivation than anything else).
Maybe it would have helped had there been more than 2 people, more to talk
about, or just alcohol that didn't manage to burn, or be bitter, or otherwise
be less pleasant than a glass of Coke. Or maybe it's just without the throngs
of drunk party goers around me I didn't feel obligated to get drunk just to
have fun. Either way, the weekend disapointed me and I missed out on so much
mudding time.

with 1 level of LoC for souls.

Planning reinc to alch (THIS time I will find all the potions). I'll probably
get bitched at a lot by various friends who think I should stay tiger, but
very few of those friends who will bitch have actually partied with me, and if
they had, maybe I would have felt more inclined not to reinc. As it is I could
use a change from soloing etc, and I've already increased my totals by 3-4m
this reinc, and I'm not sure I can be bothered soloing more. At any rate, with
luck I'll finish the alch reinc with around 40m totals, MAYBE enough to do
some small reaverspider combo or something. Whatever happens, atleast it'll
keep me busy for atleast a couple weeks.

First blog entry for me, because this is the first boot where I've really
taken the game seriously. The catylist for all this was, an hour and a half
after boot, I completed The Lost Staff areaquest, got myself a dodge staff,
172k in mithril, and 140k exp or so, and realised I actually wasn't as useless
as I thought. By that time it was 1:30am in the morning in New Zealand. So I
went to bed, and after getting out of bed at around 9:30am, started playing
BatMUD. It's only a few short hours away from boot now, and I'm proud to say
that I have made 617k exp so far, and lost none. I was aiming for another
areaquest, but I got interupted by a request for help from someone *EYES
Harle* and by the time I got back it was too late. Oh well, something to do
next boot and hopefully keep this eagerness going. And for all my friends
reading this (don't know why anyone else would be), I'm sorry for my blatant
bragging and arrogance today, I hope you understand :)
